Most Zoom recording problems come from the notetaker not being admitted, joining late, or poor audio from participants. Work through the checks below.
Troubleshooting
The notetaker must be admitted from Zoom's waiting room. If you chose Host approval, the host must also approve it. Check that you pasted the full Zoom link, including the passcode part if it has one.
The notetaker records from the moment it is admitted. Send it a few minutes before the meeting starts and ask the host to admit it promptly.
Ask participants to check their microphone and Zoom audio settings. People who join by phone dial-in can sound quieter.
Ask participants in the same room to use one device, or to use headsets. Zoom's own background-noise suppression also helps.
